Grok Bot for real estate agents: lead replies, showing reminders and a listings digest
Updated
Grok Bot has no real estate connector, but an agent can build on what it does have: Gmail, Google Calendar, a browser on its own cloud computer, and routines. It can draft lead replies, prepare showing reminders and summarize new listing alerts. You approve every send, and MLS, brokerage and legal rules stay with you.

Can Grok Bot help a real estate agent?
Yes, with the tools it already has. There is no real estate connector, so the work runs through Gmail, Google Calendar, a browser on the Bot's own cloud computer, and routines. That covers lead reply drafts, showing reminders and a digest of listing alerts. You approve every send, and MLS access, brokerage rules and legal questions stay with you.

What can Grok Bot do for an agent without a real estate connector?
It reads and drafts in Gmail, reads and creates Calendar events, and uses its own browser for sites that have no connector. Grok Bot's docs say to prefer a connector when one exists, because it's often more reliable than clicking through a website, and that cloud work continues when you close the app or your laptop.
- Searches and reads your Gmail, including portal and website lead notifications, and writes reply drafts for you to review
- Reads Google Calendar events with attendees and location, checks your free time, and creates events on calendars you can edit
- Uses a browser on its own cloud computer for sites without a connector, and keeps working when you close the app or your laptop
- Asks you to take over for a password, two-factor code, CAPTCHA or a site that requires a human
- Runs routines on a schedule, or when mail arrives at its own address
- Holds mail it wants to send from its own address as a draft until you approve it

What does the agent still do?
You press Send, and you own everything licensed or regulated. This page makes no MLS claims and gives no legal or fair-housing advice: what any tool may access, and what an email or ad may say, are for your broker and your own rules. You also sign in yourself when the Bot asks you to take over.
- Pressing Send on every client email, and keeping drafts on, since a Disable drafts option lets a Bot send directly
- Deciding which sites the Bot may open: this page makes no MLS claims, and each site's terms and your broker's rules decide what any tool may access
- Fair housing, disclosures, contracts, offers and advertising rules: they stay with you, your broker and your counsel, and this page gives no legal advice
- Signing in yourself: enter passwords and codes on the Bot's computer when it asks, not in chat
- Remembering the computer is shared: browser sign-ins and files are visible to every Bot on your account
- Text messages to clients: this page covers email and calendar only, so texts stay in your own phone or tools

How do you set up Grok Bot for real estate work?
Connect Gmail and Google Calendar from Connect apps, since a connector beats clicking through a website when one exists. Use the browser only for public pages you've chosen. When a site needs a sign-in or a code, take over on the Bot's computer and enter it yourself rather than pasting it into chat.
- Open Connect apps. In the Grok Bot app, choose Connect apps in the sidebar. On the phone, tap your avatar, then Connect apps.
- Add Gmail and Google Calendar. Add each one and finish its Google sign-in in your browser. They are separate apps with separate sign-ins.
- Confirm both are installed. Check that Gmail and Google Calendar appear under Installed. A company Google account may need its admin to trust Grok first.
- Decide on browser sites. List the public pages the Bot may read. For any site that needs a sign-in, take over on the Bot's computer and enter it yourself.
- Test one read-only request. Ask for your five newest lead emails and tomorrow's showings, and check them against Gmail and Calendar before saving any routine.

How do you get lead inquiry reply drafts?
Give one Bot a short intro note and a twice-daily routine that finds new inquiries, drafts a thank-you that asks for times to talk, and labels the thread. It leaves drafts and lists anything your note doesn't cover. Grok Bot's docs show routines that name a schedule and output and report a failure instead of guessing.
Lead inquiry reply drafts
You need:
- Gmail connected from Connect apps
- A short intro note: who you are, the areas you work and how clients reach you
Setup to copy:
Every weekday at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, search my Gmail for new buyer or seller inquiries since the last run, including website and portal lead notifications. For each, draft a short reply in my voice from my intro note that thanks them and asks for two good times to talk. Use only facts from the inquiry and my note, and promise nothing about a property. Label the thread Lead drafted. Never send. If a message asks something my note doesn't cover, don't draft it; list it for me.
Why it works: Gmail drafts are made for review before sending, per xAI's connector docs. Grok Bot's docs say approvals from a routine expire after about 10 minutes, so the routine drafts and you send from Gmail.
First run: Run it once in chat on last week's inquiries, read every draft, fix your note, then save it as a routine and use Test run.

How do you get showing reminders without auto-sending?
Keep showings on one Google calendar with the client as an attendee and the address as the location. A daily routine reads tomorrow's events, drafts a reminder for each client and posts your day plan in time order. You open the drafts and send them; the Bot doesn't change events.
Showing reminders and a day plan
You need:
- Google Calendar and Gmail connected
- Showings on one calendar, with the client's email as an attendee and the address as the location
Setup to copy:
Every weekday at 4:00 PM, read tomorrow's events on my Showings calendar. For each event with a client email in the attendees, draft a Gmail reminder with the time, the address from the location and a line asking them to reply if they need to reschedule. Then post me a list of tomorrow's showings in time order with addresses. Leave the reminders as drafts. Don't send, and don't change or delete any event.
Why it works: The Calendar connector reads attendees and location, and the Gmail connector writes drafts. Nothing reaches a client until you open the drafts and send them.
First run: Book a test showing with your own second address as the attendee and check the draft it produces.

How do you get a morning digest of new listings?
Build it from the saved-search alert emails you already receive, plus public pages you've checked you may read. The Bot summarizes each new listing in a line and flags matches for your clients. It signs in nowhere and contacts no one. For buyer and seller questions on your own website, a chat agent can answer there.
Morning digest of new listing alerts
You need:
- Gmail connected
- The saved-search alert emails you already receive
- Optional: a note of public pages you're allowed to read, such as your brokerage's own listings page
Setup to copy:
Every weekday at 7:00 AM, read the saved-search alert emails in my Gmail from the last day, plus the public pages in my sources note. Summarize each new listing in one line with its address, the key details the alert shows and its link, and flag any that match a client's wishes in my clients note. Post the digest here. Don't sign in anywhere, don't fill in forms and don't contact anyone. If a page asks for a sign-in or a CAPTCHA, skip it and tell me.
Why it works: It reads mail you already get and pages you name, and stops at sign-ins. Grok Bot's docs say to pause and notify you rather than try to get past a site's check.
First run: Start with your alert emails only. Add a public page after you've checked that site's terms allow it.

What should you keep behind approval?
Every client email and every calendar change a client will see. Grok Bot's docs recommend automating preparation before execution and requiring approval for sending, publishing and similar actions, and advise least privilege. Approvals from a routine expire after about 10 minutes, so let routines draft and summarize.

How do you set up a Grok Bot crew for your real estate business?
Start with one Bot that owns lead replies, run it by hand and correct it until you trust it. Save the method as a skill, then add a routine, and add showings and the digest later. If you'd rather not start from a blank page, install our Crew Builder template, which asks about your business and sets up worker bots.

Grok Bot for real estate agents: FAQ
Is there a Grok Bot real estate connector?
We found none in xAI's Grok Bot docs. Agents build on Gmail, Google Calendar, the Bot's browser and routines instead, as the setups on this page do.
Can Grok Bot use my MLS?
This page makes no MLS claims. What any tool may access depends on your MLS's rules and your broker, so ask them first. Grok Bot asks you to take over for passwords and two-factor codes.
Will Grok Bot reply to my leads on its own?
Not with these setups. They leave Gmail drafts for you to send. Mail from the Bot's own address waits on a draft card, and a Disable drafts option exists, so keep drafts on.
Can Grok Bot text my clients?
This page covers email and calendar only, and we don't claim a texting app. Keep client texts in your own phone or tools.
Can Grok Bot help with fair housing or contract questions?
No. Those stay with you, your broker and your counsel. This page gives no legal or fair-housing advice, and the setups list such questions for you instead of drafting answers.
Does Grok Bot keep working when my laptop is closed?
Yes. Grok Bot's docs say it works from a cloud computer and that closing the app or your laptop doesn't stop cloud work.
Can my other Bots see sites I sign in to?
Yes. Grok Bot's docs say every Bot on your account shares one computer, including browser sessions and files, so don't sign in where another Bot shouldn't.
