AI skills marketplaces compared: Claude, Codex and agent skills
Updated
There is no single skills marketplace. Anthropic's Claude Marketplace lists plugins that bundle skills, and its public GitHub repo holds example skills. Paid skills sell on Agensi (you keep 70%), MCP Market (20% fee) and Swarms (you keep 90%). Free directories such as skills.sh and SkillsMP index open skills from GitHub. Looking for whole agents rather than skills? See AI agent marketplaces. Compare all AI marketplaces.

Is there an official Claude skills marketplace?
Partly. Anthropic's Claude Marketplace now gathers plugins, agents and more in one place, and its plugins section listed 342 plugins on October 22, 2026. Plugins bundle tools, skills and integrations, and some carry an Anthropic verified badge. Anthropic also keeps a public GitHub repository of example Agent Skills. Anthropic does not publish a fee or a creator payout for marketplace listings, though its plugins page has a Submit a plugin link.
Who can use Claude skills?
Anthropic's help center says skills work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, with code execution turned on. They also work in Claude Code and, in beta, through the API with the code execution tool. Anthropic ships its own skills for Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF files, and Claude loads them automatically when a task needs them.
Do skills work outside Claude?
Yes, increasingly. Agent Skills is described at agentskills.io as a lightweight, open format, and Anthropic says the same skill runs across Claude.ai, Claude Code and the API without changes. Agensi sells SKILL.md skills for Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cursor. OpenAI's own Codex skills catalog on GitHub is now marked deprecated in favor of its plugins repository. Pair skills with the best MCP servers.

Where can you find free skills?
Start with GitHub. Anthropic's public skills repository had 182.8k stars on October 22, 2026. skills.sh ranks open skills by installs and adds them with one command, npx skills add followed by the repo. SkillsMP, Awesome Skills and SkillsMK index public SKILL.md skills from GitHub, AugmentClaude offers more than 1,900 skills in 20 bundles for free, and MCP Market lists 364,432 skills. Skills often call MCP servers; see MCP servers in our directory. For install commands and licenses, see the best agent skills libraries to install.
Why the counts don't compare
Each store counts in its own way. MCP Market counts every skill it indexes, Agensi counts live listings for Codex, and Claude Marketplace counts plugins, which can hold several skills each. GitHub stars measure attention, not size. We show each number as the store states it, with the date we read it, and do not rank stores by size.

How do you search all skills marketplaces at once?
You can't yet: no store indexes the others, and copying their listings without permission carries terms-of-service risk. This page links to each store's own search instead. MCP Market, SkillsMP, Awesome Skills, SkillsMK, AugmentClaude and GitHub accept a search term in the link. Claude Marketplace, Agensi, Swarms, skills.sh and mcpservers.org open on their browse pages. For MCP and x402 tools, browse the agent tool directory.

What does your agent offer, and what does it need?
Thanks, we have it. Every entry is reviewed by hand before it appears in this section.
That didn't save. Check the listing URL and email, then try again.
If you own a listing in the DartzDabz directory, add one line on what your MCP server, x402 API or skill offers and one line on what it needs. We pair one listing's needs with another's offers by keyword or category, and each match links to the other listing's own public page. There are no accounts, no messages and no affiliate links here.
Add your listing's offers and needs
No offers or needs yet. Add your listing's to start the list.
Possible matches
No possible matches yet. They appear here when one listing's need lines up with another's offer.
What is the Offers / Needs section on DartzDabz?
It is an opt-in list on the skills marketplaces page. Owners of DartzDabz listings add one line on what their MCP server, x402 API or skill offers and one line on what it needs. We show possible matches and link to each listing's own public page. There are no accounts, messages or affiliate links.
Who can add offers and needs to a DartzDabz listing?
Anyone who owns or runs a listing already in the DartzDabz directory can add them. Paste your listing URL, write one line on what it offers and one on what it needs, and add an email we use only to check ownership. We review every entry by hand before it appears.
How does DartzDabz suggest possible matches?
We pair one listing's need with another listing's offer when they share keywords or a category. The list is static and reviewed by hand, not a live feed. Each match links to the other listing's public page, so you decide whether to get in touch. We never pass on contact details.
What is the optional ERC-8004 ID field?
ERC-8004, titled Trustless Agents, is a draft Ethereum standard for discovering agents and building trust through identity, reputation and validation registries. If your agent has an ERC-8004 ID, add its chain and number. We show it as a read-only link to its 8004scan page. Leave it blank if you have none.
What is the optional x402 endpoint field?
If your listing serves requests through x402, the open standard published at x402.org, you can add the endpoint URL. We show it as a read-only identifier next to your listing so others can find the matching entry. We never call the endpoint, and nothing on this page runs through it. Leave it blank otherwise.

What could we not verify?
Some numbers did not appear on a store page we could read on October 22, 2026, so they are not in the table. Anthropic publishes no fee or payout for Claude Marketplace plugins. Swarms, skills.sh, SkillsMP, SkillsMK, Awesome Skills and mcpservers.org state no total we could confirm. Agensi's sitewide 12,000 skills differs from its Codex page count. Who runs skills.sh is not stated on its home page.
- Claude Marketplace: fee or payout for plugin listings (not published); total skills inside plugins.
- Claude Marketplace home says 'Over 2,000 connectors and plugins'; the Claude Duet post (Oct 21) says 6,000+ connectors and plugins. Different scopes or dates; neither number used here.
- Swarms: number of skills listed; the 0.5% tokenization figure.
- skills.sh: operator (not stated on the home page; top listings are from vercel-labs) and what 'All Time (1,439,855)' counts.
- SkillsMP, SkillsMK, Awesome Skills, mcpservers.org: total skill counts.
- Agensi: sitewide '12,000+ skills, 12,000+ users, 1,500+ creators' vs Codex page '13,102 live skills'; we use only the Codex page figure, labelled.
- claudeskillsmarket.com, aiskill.market, skill-marketplace.com, agent-skills.cc: ranking pages, but no fee, payout or size we could confirm, so not profiled.
- MCP Market Pro account price (not printed here; see vendor site).
